General information

- Standard (nonurgent) CT scans are performed on Tuesdays
- Patients are seen as outpatients with a day stay only
- Standard or urgent CT scans MUST be clinically stable outpatients
- Urgent or emergency CTs can only be arranged by submitting this form and calling E24/7 on 07 4015 3459 to arrange hospital admission

Bloods

- Preanaesthetic blood tests are offered to clients including the option for a blood gas analysis at $120. This includes 20 parameters such as electrolytes, BUN/Creatinine, lactate and PCV

Reporting results for Standard & Urgent CTs

- The specialist report will be sent to you within 36 hours of the scan
- The referring or primary vet is responsible for the case and reporting results to the client
- Owners will be advised to contact you as the referring veterinarian to discuss results & continue patient care
- Images will be sent to referring vets electronically

Emergency CTs or medically unstable patients

- These patients will be admitted to hospital
- We will manage hospital care until they are stable enough for discharge back to you
- We will report results to the client within 4-6 hours and forward the report to you

Patient care acknowledgement

- I have included all in house & external blood results from the last 6 months
- If no recent biochemistry & haematology results are available, the duty vet may recommend preanaesthetic bloods & invoice them to the client
- I have attached a patient history which includes signalment & owner details
- I understand that the owner will be required to sign a consent form on admission with the CT nurse
